DJShorts S03E01 Test Screenshots

So whilst I was resting up, I spent some time going over the old set model I used for the debut pack, and worked out fleshing out how 5 images could total a nice (approx) 8 minute animation of Riot burying his loads into our resident hunk Damian.

So the set still uses the Orphanage base structure from Resident Evil 2, but I've redressed it, made it look colder and added more to it, and it now formulates the "Gotham Ironworks" and is the kinda office/listed building adjacent to the factory.

The backdrop is now an actual 3D cityscape too with some Points of Interest added whereas the old debut pack it was an illustration as my old PC took ages to render it. I really wanted this animation to stand out, especially after having fun with the horror elements from the Nightwing x Xenomorph episode. For added flare, I bought some additional plugins for Blender (thank you for your pledge support) and added atmospherics and a weather system!

We will also see inside the Ironworks structure briefly too for a story telling mechanic so there might be some Easter Eggs in there to keep an eye out for!

I've done a few test render shots so figured I'd share them to give you a taster before I go full production once I'm able! (Right now I wanna get the usual content done before animations)

Both Damian and Riot have brand new Rigs, with Damian having the muscle tweaking that some of the newer models have. I wanted to make him a little more badass than his encounter with Baraka, so he's a bit wiser, and has his Injustice armour suit (briefly seen in Night of Clay) so gives Riot something a bit more to grapple with. Riot on the other hand has had a resolution increase with upscaled textures as they're 4k now, new bump maps for the scales, specular levels to give him some light glare when he's under spotlight or lightning flashes, and some other minor details. The new Rig thanks to Cyrustails, is superior to the DMC5 base too, so his movements 'should' be fairly fluid based on initial tests!
