Devil Judge ep08 Reaction!

Comments

There are so many questions and so many different possible answers! Lol It’s getting crazy and we have no idea where it’s gonna go! Yohan is such a sad character but at the same time he’s so manipulative. Morally ambiguous for sure, Krista. You said it! Bad people doing bad things, good people doing bad things, bad people doing good things… Can’t wait to see what happens next!

I just love to see how you react to such an... ambiguous show. There are so many gray areas, like in the real world, nothing's ever black or white. It's all about people, what they've experienced, how they react to things and what they believe in. I remember a quote from one of my favorite shows and I think that's how Yohan thinks: "If you win, you live. If you lose, you die. If you don't fight, you can't win." I can't wait to see your reactions to the rest of the show~ It's gonna be a wild ride, even wilder than it already has 😂

Exactly! And if we're honest even if Kang Yohan managed to overthrow the whole system and implemented a new one, whatever that may be, that system will quickly become corrupted once again as well. People will always be swayed by money and power, there's no way around it.

The system works when everyone is honest. The real system needs checks and balances to prevent the corruption that leads to so much injustice. It's really sad. Also, thanks for letting us know about the writer being a judge as well! That really explains a lot of the true intricacies of the plot and situations happening. It's a constant question of what's right and what's wrong, but like you, it makes you question EVERYTHING! haha We have NO IDEA how this is going to play out!

I think it’s so interesting that you haven’t really been able to trust the guy that brought Kim Gaon in (I think you called him the teacher, I’ll just call him Mr. Min since I don’t think they’ve ever used his full name) this whole time. While I was watching the show I think he was one of the only characters I felt I could trust, probably because his views aligned with mine, and so did Kim Gaon‘s. I believe that in some way Mr. Min represents the justice system that Gaon so wholeheartedly believed in which is why we can now see him abandon him to join Kang Yohan‘s side instead as his views drastically shifted. I honestly felt very sad for Mr. Min during that last scene, you could see the hurt in his eyes when he realized he practically lost Gaon. I also agree with you when you said that someone fighting against the bad guys isn’t necessarily a good guy. When Yohan revealed the people he works with and confirms that he’s been rigging the game from the start I have to ask myself again if this is justifiable and I can never answer this question clearly. And this is what this show does over and over again. It might also be good to keep in mind that the writer used to be a judge himself, I can only imagine just how frustrated with the justice system he must be in order to come up with all of this. Because in my opinion the show depicts a world that needs Kang Yohan (much like the real world perhaps?) and poses the question what needs to be done to create a world that doesn’t need Kang Yohan. I’m so excited for you to watch the next episodes!
