Quod Olim Erat changes

With Quod book 1 wrapping up, I’d like to take the opportunity to hear your thoughts on the progression of the saga. :)
After considerable thought and talks with people, I’m inclined to have Elcy’s second tour be more dynamic (adventure mystery) and action oriented than slice of life focusing on the alien / third contact mystery and world building.
Is that a direction you think you’d enjoy, or do you think this is a good point to end Elcy’s adventure?
On a similar note, do you think that the existing Quod story should be rewritten in a more dynamic fashion?
