The thing with Damon is yes he is in love with her not only cz she resembles Katherine but she is the one who understood him from the start when he just got into town. She showed compassion towards him, felt his pain was there with him as a friend when he had no1. Obviously what he did in season 1 and even in this season isnβt justifiable not at all but she is the one who left his pain and knew that he was hurt because of Katherine so he fell for her. Damon will grow on you guys. He is a very interesting character. There is a lot of backstory that you will keep getting on both the Salvatores in the coming seasons and then you will understand Damon. Season 2 ending is epic. All episodes from now on will be a crazy ride. Shocking things are gonna happen. Canβt wait to watch it with you both π€
