2024-08-02 16:45:08 +0000 UTCI know yal are well past this episode but I just have to say this. I have never liked Elena but this episode was the start of my dislike for her. She always feels so entitled to have her choice on everything but ignores everyone else's choice. Like, she is still walking around saying she will not let Bonnie die for her but she is forcing her self sacrifice down everyone else's throats. Plus that scene where she is crying to Stefan about how she doesn't want to be a vampire because she wanted to have a life and have kids ect, I am sorry but I found it completely hollow considering she has spent the last several episodes including this one telling everyone that they need to get on board with her sacrificing herself to save them. What life family or children was she planning to have when she was dead? And lastly it may seem noble her sacrificing herself for her friends and family but when she then turns around and takes the choice from any one else who would try to do the same for her it is hard to see her martyr act as anything but selfish. She would rather die than live with the pain of seeing a single one of her loved ones die, but no regard for the pain her death would cause everyone else; all her loved ones that she wants to go on living without her yet refuses to allow them to die for her.
