2024-08-02 16:51:39 +0000 UTCI have not. Ive seen bits and pieces of the show but not enough to impact anything or to have a clear idea of what’s going on. The survivor’s guilt Elena feels is really sad. You can see it since the beginning when she is telling her story to Stefan. Which really validates her need to sacrifice herself for others or put herself in situation where her life is in danger because in a way she feels like she should have died with her parents and she hast to earn being alive somehow? If that makes sense? Right, aside for them trying to avoid anything too homoerotic it’s just not the most ideal way of feeding from someone. The whole comment Damon makes doesn’t make sense to me because up until this point Elena has been trying to get Stefan back so it comes off a little out of content. However I do understand what he is trying to say. He is trying to make her question things that she should be questioning. I would have liked it more if he had said it differently because this makes it sound like he is referring to her feelings towards him and not towards her feelings regarding who Stefan actually is. Vampire are toxic by nature so you can’t expect to have a healthy relationships. Stelena might look healthy on the surface but it’s not and we saw that in season 1 when the reality of who Stefan is came to light. LOL I don’t know the timeline but they do give Shades Of Grey Vibes. Actually Damon might be a lot less toxic than Christian lmao. I think the main problem I had with that nude/towel scene is just the way Damon consistently forgets to have any sort of boundaries when it comes to Elena. That is still his brother’s girlfriend. But again, vampires have a different mind and I don’t think boundaries is something that vampires really prioritize. Frankly I would expect Elena to set those boundaries since but she doesn’t seem to be bothered too much by this so who am I to judge, right? Oh god I didn’t noticed that and I love The Lost Boys. I mean, Damon gives me some David vibes. “Maggots, Michael. You're eating maggots. How do they taste?”
