I think for me it did both. The Exorcist and Jaws were two movies that really scarred me lol. But I've always loved horror movies so even though they did scare the crap out of me I never stopped watching.

2020-10-03 02:59:24 +0000 UTCGreat reaction, as expected. This movie holds up very well .I hadn't watched this movie in a long time. I was not brought up religious but for some reason demon possession movies scared the crap out of me as a kid. As an adult, not so much. The story that the book was based on actually occurred in my hometown of St. Louis, which made this movie weirdly significant here when I was growing up. Can't wait for the next one!
