I love some of your other reaction shows, but when I first started watching your VD reactions i was so triggered, not just because yall said you don't like Damon (who is my favorite character) but because you repeated it so often and I figured it would be like some other reactors who just double down on their hatred regardless of his growth throughout the series. But I want say towards the tail end of season 2 and the start of season 3 just watching you acknowledge his growth and even warm to his character has been enjoyable. And most of your comments about Elena is how I feel about her. She is whinny and entitled and maybe in some scenarios, bad things happen because of her but that has stopped being the case after season 2. I was really annoyed at the end of season 2 when Elena was the one to make the decision about trusting Elijah, that whole scenario was not about her, it affected the vampires, their lives were on the line, so that choice should not have involved Elena at all let alone been solely hers! And your comment about the Stelena relationship was spot on. It is not just that Elena has repeatedly made comments that indicate Stefan was more of a support blanket for her after her parents died than her actually being in love with him (of course for a teenager I can't fault her for believing she was in love with him, she is a child) but Stefan has never truly been happy with Elena either. From the beginning he has never been able to truly be himself with her, he has told her only the positive parts of himself (which is why she has that unrealistic notion that a vampire "doesn't have to act like one") he feels so tortured around her because he is hiding half of himself. He is more himself with Caroline than with Elena. Alot of Stelena shippers do not see that both parties are miserable in that relationship built on a lie and desperation. I get that they have cute moments and might look good together, but I mean, if you love the characters acknowledge that they do not actually make each other happy. As for Delena, not gunna say too much because i do not want to spoil (though by now you are closer to the end of the series) but honestly I do not ship them either. I want Damon to be happy and get the girl I just wish that girl was not Elena. Would honestly prefer Damon and Bonnie!

Still, punishing Bonnie was low since it wasnt really her fault? I guess its because she was doing too much and she was doing black magic to save Elena before that. Still, why would they get back at her and destroy grams?! So ruthless. I thought witches took care of their own but w/e. Also its funny you should say that about that scene becasue when Damon said that I thought the exact same thing but didnt say it cause I feel like I already give Elena a lot of crap lol. But yeah, I was like - and? Elena is more special because? I guess because they both love her so it is a matter of perspective. Jeremy, oh Jeremy. "What could be worse than you being a vampire?" Uhm, her being dead? Exactly its not like she chose this but I think part of him was pissed that she had chosen to die and leave him alone. I just cant believe he was ok with Bonnie doing that spell where she died to help Elena. Again Elena's life is placed before someone else because Bonnie could easily die doing that spell but I guess its worth it? Alaric was about to kill Damon too so ... Rebekah was protecting her own so I don't fault her for that. I still dont understand Klaus' threat towards Bonnie tbh.

2021-01-09 16:28:45 +0000 UTCI won't lie, I was really pissed off this episode for multiple reasons..... first and foremost, I hate hate *HATE* that Bonnie yet again became the punching bag whose sole purpose is to be used by the other characters. In the last episode, we had her stand her ground, "I won't be pushed around by all of you" just for the writers to be like "actually, nvm that". When Klaus grabbed her by the throat, she should have EASILY been able to take him down. We saw her take out Tyler with ease in the episode where Mikael died. And then on top of that, the spirits punish BONNIE? The SPIRITS that USED her and controlled her? They have the audacity to punish her when she was being threatened to do the spell? Fuck those dead witches :D the other thing is... I hate Matt. But why on earth should special snowflake Elena's life be worth more than his? "The world has one more quarterback"... and? What does Elena contribute to this world other than the fact that Damon is into her? :D Also, Jeremy's whole "I need my sister, not one more of them" hello? She's still your sister, why is he giving her attitude? It's not like she was like "omg yas I wanna be a vampire, turn me". Dude, she DIED! Be glad that she woke up as a vampire and isn't permanently dead. Also not the gang giving Rebekah shit for killing Elena when it was the only way to save themselves from Alaric when the gang themselves killed an innocent vampire (Finn) trying to save themselves from Klaus. Gaaaaah, this episode really frustrated me :D
