Hes just so annoying. Like, read the room bro. I really dislike the type of people who claim to love someone, sees how much pain they cause them and just refuse to leave them be. I cant sympathize with Frank because hes such an awful person but I do feel bad for the kid he used to be for having to be raised by that terrible woman.

And yeah they definitely brought in Franks mother to show what a bad example he had and how it’s gotten him to this point and while that’s realistic I agree it’s Franks responsibility to change that. It’s hard to feel completely sympathetic for him. This show makes sure to give each character layers because as much as I dislike Karen for her behaviour and what she did to Frank she is really sweet and understanding of her mother. I agree with what you’ve said about Lip, so far we’ve seen he has been one of the harshest to Frank and how he doesn’t want to be like him. Can’t wait for the rest!

2021-01-30 00:55:27 +0000 UTCShe's awful, I don't like her one bit. It is interesting though to have some insight to what Frank's childhood was like with a mom like that. IT explains a lot of behavior but it still doesn't absolve Frank for his own bad decisions. I love Sheila and her scenes were epic. I do hope that she starts to get better again. Lip and Ian man. At least Lip is trying and he really didnt do anything. They are both going through stuff and this is when they should be sticking together. Yeah, I think they just needed her to stick around but I would have done that differently. Seemed weird to me. Cant wait to see what happens next!

2021-01-23 15:32:35 +0000 UTCIt's interesting to see that Frank's mother is an even worse person than he is. It doesn't make Frank a sympathetic character but I like how it provides more context to him. It's nice to see Sheila stand up for herself , especially to Frank, and hopefully she can work her way past her fears. Karen, while a selfish and inconsiderate person with most people, seems to genuinely care about her mother and they seem to have a close relationship. It was oddly satisfying to see Fiona get called out. hopefully she will take that situation in a positive direction for herself. Lip and Ian do need to patch things up. He is going through a lot of other issues and I think Lip is trying while Ian is shutting him out completely. That was pretty much all Ian did this episode and I wonder if something deeper is going on with him. I agree that the police being called off by Tony was strange in how everyone reacted. It seemed like lazy writing to not have Frank's mother go to prison. There were a lot of things set up and some good character background and development this episode. So many different interesting story lines to come.
