Really good question. I definitely view the girls relationship as trauma bonding. At first they were united by a mutual fear and admiration of Alison and when she died they separated. They only really because close again after another traumatic thing brought them back together (A). You would think they’d have more emotional and deep conversations about their trauma but rewatching with you it seems a lot has been on the surface. The scene with Hanna in therapy is all I can think of on the top of my head. The parents probably view their bond as odd and unhealthy too and is why they wanted them to spend some time apart. Although they thought it was about Alison and not A. And yes, Toby and Spencer are so sweet and pure. A breath of fresh air from the other more complicated things going on. Oh and you’re right about the Noel thing. They don’t like him because they suspected him of being A and the whole Ezra situation. Also, I’m not completely sure I’ve only watched this show once but I think Jason is around the same age as Ezra, Melissa and Ian.
