Consent on this show really is non-existent sigh. It really makes me feel sick. As much as I don’t like Steve I really do understand him here. It must suck to not have a voice and I feel like a 4 hour distance doesn’t have to be the end of a relationship. But he was being so sly and secretive about everything. It’s so complex. I hurt so much for Ian. With all the partners he’s had lol Cash and Ned and now Mickey it’s so damaging. He’s been going through so much without any support other than Lip I guess. And Karen my gosh. She was a terrible person but she didn’t deserve that. I can’t imagine not being able to form new memories. At that point who even are you? It’s like her life is pretty much over. I feel for Mandy because of all the reasons you mentioned but I really did love that Lip finally confronted her about it. She wanted to keep hold of Lip who already ended this with Karen but didn’t realise her doing what she did just ruined all that. She’s genuinely doesn’t understand why what she did was wrong and it’s sad. I also felt sooo bad for Lip. Karen while she was terrible for him meant so much and now she’s fucked for life. And the fact that Mandy did it for him as she says just makes it worse. I would low-key blame myself for life if I was him. Gosh so much goes on in just one shameless episode.

Most people are just immediately with Fiona and get all pissed at Jimmy for feeling the way he feels which I just find so unfair. I like that you can see where he's coming from and that it's not as simple as him knowing what he was getting into. The Mickey/Ian stuff breaks my heart! Neither of them deserve this. I get why Mickey went through with it, his Dad was forcing it basically. But I also see why Ian just wanted him to not go through with it. I mean, look at his past relationships... Kash, married with kids, hooking up in secret. Ned, married with kids, hooking up in secret. And now Mickey is married with a kid on the way and they'd be hooking up in secret. He didn't need Mickey to come out or anything, he just didn't wanna feel like a mistress or whatever you call a male version with Mickey. He's felt that way before, and with Mickey he's actually in love and now it's just becoming another affair... He doesn't need that... They honestly should've just run away together... I completely understand Lip's anger at Mandy. Even though I love her, she went too far and completely fucked up Karen's life. And she didn't only hurt Karen, she hurt Sheila too, and Jody and Hymie and even Lip. Karen may have been a bitch, but she didn't deserve that. (Even though I still laugh every time I watch her get hit by the car...) I understand that she was jealous and felt that she was manipulating Lip again (which she kinda was...) but that's not the way to deal with it...
