Yeah, it's kinda infuriating how easy it was for Ian to enlist, but I guess they didn't wanna show kids how to actually enlist under a false name while underage... Idk... Haha But it is so sad that he did. That he wanted to escape that much! And that no one noticed or tried to stop him. The fact that his family didn't really notice anything was up, and that Mickey knew what he was doing and didn't try harder to stop him. It just kinda enforces the idea that he is the forgotten kid. I mean, the party. Everyone was there from the start, except Ian, and no one even commented on it. It reminds me a little of the time they were eating the fruit baskets while he was upstairs crying... Everyone else all having fun and enjoying themselves, not even noticing that he's having a hard time. And it's because he's the most private and quiet. Fiona and Lip bring their relationship issues home, they get into fights with each other. Debbie and Carl are younger, they're vocal about things that are bothering them. But Ian keeps to himself, only Lip knows about his relationship issues, and anything that's actually going on in his love life... He keeps to himself, so people just assume that he's fine or that he can handle it... It makes me sad... :( I also love that Mandy got mad at Mickey on Ian's behalf. They both take each other's side over their brothers' when they have issues and it's sweet. Carl shaving Frank's head at the end was sweet. It shows that he DOES care, he's just kinda, uh, insane... So glad Lip graduated! And the scenes between him and Frank were weirdly sweet. They were having fun, talking. It was really sad when Frank started throwing up blood. Lip didn't deserve to witness that... And I love how proud Fiona is that he graduated! That he actually did it. How proud everyone is. It's just really sweet. :)

Mickey's actor is amazing, it's a shame that he's had such little screen time so far, but every time he was on screen he did the most with it. Tbh most actors on this show are amazing, they did a great job with the casting. Btw, I agree that Carl is pretty one-dimensional at this point, but to be honest they have a big cast and I feel like even then there was enough struggle with the screen time already so I never really minded. Gotta say that I really liked his moments with Frank this season though, especially that scene at the hospital. I really enjoyed rewatching this season, I think I found a new appreciation for it, and now I can't wait for season 4! You're gonna love it (I think??). I know I definitely did lol.
