Each to their own - never liked him at all and kept wishing they'd get rid of him. Maybe if a different actor had played him but I don't like this guy.

So I really don't think his love for Elena has anything to do with her looking like Katherine, especially since he hates Katherine now and he genuinely seems disgusted by her π The chemistry between Stefan and Katherine is just... oof, so good.
