I've always loved this episode and this may have just been because of the Willow/Glory fight scene which is epic, but there is more to this episode than those scenes. It is late, I've had a few drinks and I am not always great about putting my thoughts to paper but I will try and explain. I get what you said about characters you like making silly/bad choices, in this episode almost all of the characters have moments of self doubt which makes them so relatable. Buffy and her over-protectiveness of Dawn, trying to be the adult but not exactly knowing how to. Dawn's belief that she is the cause of Tara and Spike's injuries even though it is not her fault. Tara's concern about the rise in Willows magical power and Willow saying that she cant relate to Tara/Buffy because she hasnt lost her mother. Even Ben losing his job because of Glory was sad to see, at least in Ben's eyes. It was heart-breaking to see that after resisting Glory's torture to protect Dawn's secret that in the end Tara inadvertantly told Glory that Dawn was the key. Thank goodness for Anya to bring a little, well earned softness to this episode. Her capitalism speech was great and her offer to 'sleep' with Willow was adorable. End of ramble...
