You do realise that Alexi was lying about fighting Cap right? Like, he was comparing himself to him as contemporaries but he was lying. That's not a problem with the storyline.

I don't disagree that it should have come out years ago, however, if it had we would not have gotten the fantastic Florence Pugh as Yelena (she was only 23 when they filmed this- the same age Scarlett was when she started playing Natasha) . I feel this movie was as much an origin story for Yelena as it was a story about Nat. Given the end credit scene, I suspect the next time we see her will be in the Hawkeye series that comes out November 24. The sisterly chemistry between Scarlett and Florence was perfect. In fact, the scene where Yelena is making fun of Natasha's "posing" came from Florence teasing Scarlett about it. It does suck that this is likely the only time we'll see them together. Another fun fact-- if you rewatch Infinity War you can see that Nat was wearing Yelena's vest through the whole movie. Excellent continuity considering that Infinity War was filmed several years before this movie. I have to disagree about the level of humor in this movie. I thought it was very funny throughout. It was a different style of humor, maybe. Much more dry and low key, but still hilarious (to me, at least). Rachel Weiss and David Harbour were great as "the parents". Unfortunately, their storyline was a bit problematic. While it's true that during the Cold War, the USSR did have sleeper cells in America (there was a great show called The Americans that was all about it), the Cold War (and the USSR) was over by 1995. Also, Alexi kept talking about Captain America but he could not have met him because he was in prison. However it does introduce the possibility that Steve Rogers did continue being Captain America after he returned to the 40's to be with Peggy. That's really the only way that Red Guardian could have fought Captain America. As far as the butt shots of Natasha are concerned, it's in Scarlett's contract. Prior to The Avengers, Scarlett was most known for having impressive breasts. Scarlett just wants "dat ass" to get equal time, given the amount of time she spent in the gym to acquire those "buns of steel".So she has a 3 buttshot minimum written into her contract. She wanted more, but Marvel is part of Disney. It's possible that last paragraph was total bullshit. All in all, I'm happy this movie exists. It is a fun action movie with the darkest undertones in the entire MCU. The reaction was top notch as always and I can't wait for the next one!
