2022-07-25 09:46:57 +0000 UTCMy issue with Stefan in this scene is not that he hurt Damon's feelings and pushed Damon to kill Zack's pregnant gf, that was all Damon and it was terrible. Yes, he lashes out when he is hurt, it he is insecure (and more that is not yet explained so I will not mention) and that was all heightened when he turned. However, those were still Damon's actions. My problem with Stefan in this scene (which is the same thing he has done from S1 to the end of the series) is he verbally berates Damon from his self righteous moral high horse, and on top of that most of the things he said in that flashback scene was blaming Damon for the things that Stefan did. The main example is saying Damon forced him to drink human blood and caused him to become a ripper, Damon was not trying to be malicious then, he was trying to show Stefan how to be a functional vampire and Stefan could not handle it became a ripper, that was not Damon's fault. As for the Stefan Elena scene, in previous episodes I felt that Stefan lying about how he was looking for leads to bring Damon and Bonnie back was wrong, but here I actually liked them showing that Stefan is not dealing well with his brother being dead that he is just constantly picking fights in bars to feel something, going back to how easier it is for him to feel physical pain over the emotional pain, and Elena has no legs to stand on considering she just cheated her way out of mourning Damon.
