I worked in motion picture and television production for 15 years. The cost of shooting in studio or on location for this kind of show is anywhere from $50,000 to $150,000 per HOUR. 12 hour days, 6 days a week for at least 2 weeks per episode now that it is done by Netflix. Maybe 3 weeks per episode judging by the production value increase of the show now.
