This episode is so hard to watch! Poor Liam! He's really going through it this season... But ugh, that scene of him getting beat up is just horrible. It's weird to say that I'm proud of him for not fighting back, because I wish he could've, but we all know that if he fought back he'd lose control pretty quickly and that was exactly what Gabe and Nolan wanted. But it is so impressive that Liam, of all people, was able to just take that beating without shifting and killing everyone. Ms Finch just being all "Sometimes it's better to let them work things out on their own." FUCK YOU, BITCH! NO! That is not true! I hate teachers like that. So glad Coach stepped in and stopped it. And yeah, I'm pretty sure he knows and has done for a long time. (There's a theory that that's why he wasn't scared during all this, because he already knew and hadn't been afraid, so like the others who had already known and been on their side, he wasn't scared of them. Of course there's also the possibility that he's just completely oblivious, but yeah...) I love the scene between Scott and Liam though at the start. Scott is a total Dad and I love it. And the way Liam was just claiming to be ill to get out of going to School. The fact that it was literally Scott there and not his parents. I love their relationship so much! Haha But this really does suck because it was like, the day before that he watched Brett and Lori die and lost control, and then he's gotta just go to School and act like nothing happened and deal with all this shit. Also, Mason and Corey are such good friends and I love them! They don't care about the fact that hanging out with Liam could be dangerous for them. I mean, I know Corey's already kinda been outed as not human, but it was nowhere near as bad as Liam's. And Mason just stuck by them both, knowing it puts him in their line of fire too. I just love him so much! <333 I also really enjoyed Liam's scene with Monroe. How Liam quickly figured out she was the new Hunter, and he knew she knew what he is and she knew he knew who she is. Ah, Scott. It's sad because he is still a kid and he doesn't want a war, he just wants to go to College and become a Veterinarian! But Gerard and Monroe aren't gonna let that happen and it sucks. Plus, he's got these morals that tell him not to kill people. And honestly, I respect that and love that about him. But right now, that's just not likely to happen. Gerard has never been someone you can bargain with. I get them trying with Monroe because she's new and I do think it was good for them to try and understand her reasoning and maybe get through to her, but it didn't work and they can't try it again. He has to accept that bargaining isn't gonna work with these people as they WANT War. They want all supernatural creatures dead. With Melissa, I completely agree with you. I always found it odd that she of all people didn't want Scott to run. I guess part of it could've been that she knew he wouldn't, and she didn't wanna make him feel like he couldn't count on her. Idk... But I do agree that it's kinda weird. And I also agree that it's weird that they're so surprised that Gerard wants Genocide. Like, isn't that what he's always wanted? I guess maybe it's because it suddenly seems kinda possible, with him gaining so many allies. But still... And I love Scott and Malia! A lot of people don't, but I really do. It feels really natural and they really balance each other well imo. Malia kinda pushes Scott to do these things he's not totally comfortable with, and Scott is able to calm Malia down a bit and keep her from losing control and make her think things through better. And they have pretty great chemistry imo... I enjoy this season. I liked the story of people finding out about what's really going on (as it's seemed very strange that all this shit has been going on and no one's noticed... Haha) and having this creature that amplifies the fear they already feel. Plus, I enjoy the relationships between the characters that we get to explore. (Though I still hate Gerard and wish they'd just killed him back when he first appeared. Like, why didn't he just die after the whole Kanima thing?!)
