"When the devil walks the earth and finds his first love... evil shall be released". Hmm - you had the right idea early on in your screen commentary.... The writers revealed much later than this episode aired exactly what they intended with the "prophecy" There can be more than one meaning to something - different levels of meaning. On the surface, demon(s) seem to be poised to come to earth... but Lucifer realizing he hates himself - feels he is a monster - and through Chloe he was able to begin to forgive that self loathing. Isn't that a "release of evil"? (i.e. a release can be either a good thing or a bad thing) (and who really is his first love?) Just like reality, there can be several simultaneous levels of meaning to things or experiences or occurrences....
