2021-12-16 21:43:07 +0000 UTCIn the situation about Sarah I don't really think that Damon has much of a "right" to know, he pretty much lost that the moment he killed not only her mother when she was pregnant but also the father (Zach) in season 1, which is not so long ago and we heard just 1 episode ago the reason Damon gave Bonnie for killing Zach, which was guilt for killing Gale back then so is easier to kill Zach now and out of sight, out of mind... So I really don't think that even with today's version of Damon he has much in the way of entitlement towards that information. Also because Stefan is doing this for Sarah, for her safety and her protection... He is not trying to be "the only one who can protect her", he is not a part of her life, he is not saving her for himself... He is refusing to let all of the drama and danger that comes with supernaturals into her life, specially Damon but that also includes himself... She doesn't know who Stefan is and he has never been a part of her life, he simply left her alone and well taken cared of. Let's imagine the best case scenario about Stefan being more open with this information: He tells Damon about Sarah and at some point Damon tries to find her and maybe even introduce himself as her family in some attempt to mend things out of guilt or maybe an idea to have a big family, etc... Now she is in the radar of all of the BS that comes with vampires and supernaturals, she can be in danger from people who might want to hurt Damon or Stefan by hurting her and that's without thinking about other people (like Enzo) finding out about her... I don't think Stefan thinks that Damon right now represents a danger to her or that Damon will "attack" her, I think Stefan it's just protecting her anonymity and keeping her away from all the baggage that comes with knowing Damon or Stefan or being a Salvatore.
