Yes, I know what he did to Marcel and it is horrible. But from Kol's perspective Marcel is not family, he has no reason to care for him other than the fact that he is a child. But lets not pretend that Klaus and Elijah have never killed children. Just because we didn't see it doesn't mean it never happened. I would maybe believe that from Elijah but Klaus? No, I'm sure he's slaughtered babies. So Kol has spent who knows how long in a box while his brothers treat this "stranger" as family. Because Klaus did not undagger Kol because he wanted to have his brother back but because he was bored and petty and wanted a distraction. So yes, what Kol did to Marcel is awful because it was not Marcel's fault and he did not deserve it but I get why he did. They have never cared for Kol, even before this. He does play a big part of why they push him away though because he does act out and tries to betray them, but it all goes back to the fact that he is not getting equal treatment by his siblings.

2021-12-27 13:58:32 +0000 UTCAgain the reason he doesn’t have a portrait is cuz once Klaus undaggered Kol the thing he chose to do was force feed 7 year old Marcel his blood to force him into being a vampire against his will. He made Marcel watch compelled humans violently act out Hamelt violence was something Marcel was never going to see especially 7 year old Marcel. When Elijah found them Kol tried to get Elijah to kill Marcel and he said Marcel isn’t family basically saying who cares what happens to a 7 year old. Even after doing that knowing how child abuse would affect Klaus he was later undaggered therefore giving him another chance cuz if it would have been me Kol would still be asleep solely cuz of his abuse of Marcel.

He’s singled out and unloved in his family which feels more like a trio between Klaus, Elijah and Rebekah. If I was him I’d have dipped and unpopular opinion, the scenes where they come together at the end of this episode just isn’t enough. But ofc, at the chance of family unity, love and inclusion why wouldn’t he say yes? On a lighter note I found it so entertaining seeing Elijah do normal things like fixing a fence. I really like his acting when it comes to the red door because I literally felt like the act of mundane activities helped him.

2021-12-27 00:36:39 +0000 UTCI absolutely love the scenes between Klaus, Kol and Rebekah this episode. Like, I truly believe that Klaus loves Kol. He's just never been as close to him as he is with Rebekah and Elijah. And it's really messed up that Kol has had to suffer for that, but I do think it's just really complicated. I feel like we should've got more flashbacks to when they were human, and got to see what Kol's relationship with them was like back then. Because we have such a good idea of what Klaus, Elijah and Rebekah's relationship was like. But we have no idea how Kol fit into that as humans. Like, we know they were very different back then and that their time as vampires changed them (not becoming them obviously, just the experiences...) and so I do often wonder what their relationships were like as humans, as kids. I do like to believe it was a lot better back then than it became. It just would've helped a lot to know the dynamics better... And I really love Klaus and Kol both coming to trust each other. Even though it happened so quick, it didn't feel rushed to me, or forced or anything. Like, Kol allowing Klaus into his mind because he had nothing to lose, even though he knew Klaus could end up really mad at him for things he saw in there and make his remaining time miserable. And Klaus giving Kol Papa Tunde's Blade, as well as the White Oak Stake, that was big enough, that was a huge show of trust, but then allowing him to channel him as well, allowing himself to be VERY vulnerable with him while Kol was in possession of the one thing that could kill him as well as something that could cause him immense agony, knowing Rebekah wouldn't be able to stop him as she hasn't got a hold on magic yet, also knowing that Kol had been working on a dagger that would work on him. That was just a huge amount of trust shown and I love it. I just wish it wasn't happening while Kol was dying. Better late than never though... And Elijah. He is really struggling. But I'm so glad he was able to overcome it in order to protect Hope. Because at the end of the day, she is the most important thing to him. And Hope just being a powerful baby! I love her so much! <333 Finn trying to kill Hope is so messed up. She is a baby! Same goes to Freya, but I can understand her a lot better for it! I mean, she was taken by Dahlia at such a young age, and she does not speak well of her. She probably thinks it better that Hope is dead than has to be taken by Dahlia, and also doesn't want Dahlia to find her or kill everyone else. Still super fucked up that she's willing to let a baby die though...
