This story line was all about Liz not wanting to let go of her life, and Miranda and Greyson were Jeremy's parents also. You really hate Elena....lol.

I think the idea of human deaths in supernatural shows is a beautiful and more grounded message. One thing I love about this season is how more human it feels. The fact that even vampires cannot curate the perfect goodbye is reassuring for me. In the midst of all the filler storylines, one thing vampire diaries does well is a touching and peaceful death.
