[not really relevant to the show waffling about the word ‘Autumn’] Autumn is a lovely word. It’s a lovely season, too. Did you know the English sometimes laugh at Americans for calling the season, ‘Fall’, but we used to also use that term. It was the English settlers in America who made ‘Fall’ popular/common over there. We then slowly fazed out the use of Fall for some reason. ‘Autumn’ had been used centuries earlier and was becoming popular again through the 16-1700s, along with another term like, ‘Back Year’ or ‘Back of the Year’ or something weird like that (Im glad that one didn't stick!). In 1820 John Keats published what is probably his best known poem, and the last one he would write I think, an ode, “To Autumn”. It’s still regarded as one of the most perfect poems ever written in the English Language and for once, I actually agree (I cannot stand Shakespeare lol). The poem was so popular and so highly regarded, as well as providing a different view of Autumn as a bountiful “Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness…” that we officially adopted ‘Autumn’ as the name for the season, it still officially being called ‘Fall’, despite that word slipping out of popular usage. The poem was written in 1819 and published in 1820 and so, as this was after the American war of Independence, I guess the Americans didn’t get that memo and stuck with’Fall’. A lot of what we call “Americanisms” were once very English and it is we who have changed our usage while the Americans kept the original. ‘Autumn’ is a much nicer word though. It’s one of my favourites.

Hard episode for me to watch....but was worth it. Also...thank you for the big screen...most reactors have tiny screens in the bottom corners, the way you have it, we can see you and the screen at the same time :)

John Noble and Christopher Lloyd are masterful actors! I love this episode!

I'm a little disappointed that we didn't get at least one "Great Scott!" in this episode but otherwise a really amazing performance from our guest star.
