Poor Reid... I swear the writers just have this dartboard with a bunch of horrible things to happen to characters on it, and another with all the character's faces on, and they always just hit the worst thing possible and Reid... Hahaha Nah, I'm pretty sure it's cuz he's the Fan Favourite and so we like to see him suffer... Haha It was a small moment but I enjoyed him adamantly denying narcotics. It sometimes feels like they forget he's an Addict and so these small moments are just nice because it shows that they do remember and it is still very much a part of who he is. So much so that he refuses pain meds while suffering from Anthrax... Also "Screw protocol, Reid's in trouble" could basically be the BAU's catchphrase... Haha just saying... I feel awful for JJ this episode. I can't imagine how terrifying that must've been for her. This is the first BIG case she's had since Henry was born and it would be horrible. And Hotch too. Of course, he's had other big cases since Jack's been born and he's kinda used to that fear, but he'd still be terrified. And we see that at the end when he calls to talk to him. Even though he was able to compartmentalise it, he was still thinking about Jack and needed to talk to him at the end of the case. I really liked that moment between JJ and Garcia too. How Garcia tells her how scared she always is when the Team go out on cases because she knows there's a chance they won't come back. That must be so scary for her, and part of her likely feels guilty. Guilty that they're out there risking their lives while she stays in her Office safe from all that. Of course, I don't see it that way and her contributions are very important and all that. But it must feel that way sometimes. (Also, I meant to say it during the Big Wheel episode, but I really enjoy episodes where Garcia goes with them. It's just nice seeing her with the Team rather than just over the phone...) The whole Subway thing, when Hotch and Morgan and the General were kinda arguing over where the Unsub would be. The best thing to do would be to send people to both. Just in case. Both sides needed to acknowledge that they could be wrong and that there needed to be people at both places just in case. But I really like how they handled it and that the General went with them and trusted their Profile in the end. It was smart to give him that approval he so desperately wanted. I love the scene with Morgan and Reid at the end. Morgan eating Reid's Jello, Reid waking up and immediately honing in on said Jello and asking if there was any more. Plus the confirmation that Abby and some of the other victims were getting better too. That last shot gives me the chills every time though! To think there's so much being kept from the world like that, and that they're preparing for so much more too. It really is a terrifying thought! So weird little thing. But am I the only one who saw chemistry between Reid and Dr Kimura?

This episode... The villain was fine. To be honest I've already forgotten his name, but he does what he needs to do and not much else. The stakes are higher than normally, but a sense of urgency is never really there. Like you said, they aren't going to kill off Reid or hundreds of people the episode before a big season finale. Yet I really like this episode. Its one of my favorites in season 4. And that's because it shows so much of the relationships and personalities within the team. All the interactions brings out something new or strenghten what we already knew about the characters. Morgan and Reid. JJ and Hotch, followed by JJ and Garcia. Rossi and Prentis (who needs to be paired more often). The episode remembers that a good case or villain can only do som much, because its the team we really care about.

If you are interested in these kind of stuff,i highly recommend The Hot Zone, its a Natgeo miniseries,it is extremely underrated i think. Its only 2x6 epiisodes less then 12 hours the whole, there is absolutely 0 reactions to it unfortunately, the first season is about ebola outbreak in US,the second is the Amerithrax case. i only read about the first incident how accurate the show is,and apart from some extra dramatization what happened is all fact basically. I highly recommend, the two seasons are not connecting, both individual. The first season also shows how Ebola was discovered in Africa with memory jump backs. I think its a masterpiece,i honestly dont understand why its this underrated,if it were done by HBo or Netflix it would be on most watch but since its Natgeo i guess nobody even cares to check it out. I know yor schedule is full probably but its only 12 hours,it would be amazing if you would react to those at some point :) The first is a bit scary, the second is foloowing FBi so its similar to CM in some ways. Thank you for the reactions :)
