It still needed to happen to get Olivia back, otherwise her consciousness would have just disappeared, so it wasn't pointless (I guess building the computer was technically pointless)

He didn’t feel there was any more of a need for his character, but he compromised and said yes to doing a voice over so his character could be killed off.

2022-04-03 06:48:33 +0000 UTCPerhaps Mr. Nimoy was unable to physically perform in the episode but had enough left in the tank to do the ADR. It sure sounded like his voice. It would explain the somewhat rushed nature of the animation. My favorite part of this episode was definitely Broyles. Great to see him break out some different sides.
