3.21 - THE LAST SAM WEISS

Yeah, don’t really agree with you on the whole Olivia thing. The writers had a plan, it may look one way right now, but by the end you realize everything had to happen a certain way. And I’ve always thought the main story was both Olivia and Peter, their connection is everything, them working together is what saves the worlds. I’m also not sure why you have a problem with the telekinesis part, she literally learned to do that in like 1 minute of duress the first time around πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ so why wouldn’t she be able to do that through a different reality if she practiced it for at least half a day. It wasn’t just some random mirror and typewriter, they were both from the other side AND she at least KNOWS she has both abilities this time around.

When you find out who made the drawings, it will make much more sense. This show is connected from the very first episode. I can't say to much because of spoilers. The machines were connected, so why couldn't she tap into that with the ability she has.....think it through.

I'm here for those twists. Excited to see what is going to happen!

Ok, I'm glad I'm not alone in this. The pacing this episode was just ... off.

Hi, great reaction, loved your thoughts at the end, i think you've hit the nail on the head of the only (in my opinion) problem of this season, which is the pacing in the last third of it, because up until ep 15 the pacing was pretty much perfect, the went fast and tense when they needed (like the first 8 episodes) and they slowed down and took their time when it served the story (like episodes 9-15) but the Bell-ivia arc really messed everthing up and while it's a fun arc it just wasn't worth messing with the flow of the season, because if you remove that arc you get all the time to set up Olivia and her powers to then use it in this episode and you get to have another episode in the other universe which imo was needed to build up more the resentment from Fringe Agents against Walternate that was building up. I do think that the finale recovers quite spectacularly and i can't wait for your reaction next week but man we were really close to a perfect season of television imo. Really can't wait for next week, i won't spoil anything but i will say this, prepare for twists because it's definitely a wild one. P.S. Another thing we could have had without that arc of episode was more Peter and Olivia ''quite'' moments as a couple which were sorely needed, damn you William Bell !!

This definitely has a "we're making this up as we go along" feel to it, almost like they knew where they needed to end but has no idea how to get there so they just did improv for the whole episode. Having future knowledge helps make it go down easier, but I'm sure I had similar feelings to yours the first time I saw this episode. Olivia became the very definition of deus ex machina in this episode.
