Some of the scenes were really meta, commenting on the show, commenting on how Lucifer perceived the world but also how fans and viewers take the content themselves. I think the writers did a great job of saying goodbye while acknowledging that some elements, scenes, and storylines will be viewed in different perspectives or interpreted differently.
