The fact that the sheriff knew sugar was a trucker trick and the fbi didnt is another reason they shouldn’t roll up on police departments acting like they are better than them like they usually do

John Walker Is That Dude

Yeah, I could never hitchhike. The idea terrifies me. I could also never pick up a hitchhiker. You don't know who's car you're getting into and you don't know who you're letting into your car. Anything could happen. What I find sad is the amount of kids who are taken away from parents who truly love them and are really trying. This guy of course clearly wasn't stable and he was not the right person to raise her. But the amount of kids who get dragged away from their parents who are doing the best is really sad. I get it, of course. If a parent can't support their kids financially then the kids need to be taken, at least for a while until they can handle it. But the even sadder part is the fact that so many kids are left in homes where they're unsafe and starving and beaten and raped and just put through so much shit. Things with parents wanting to get their kids back after CPS took them away just always makes me think of that, ya know? Especially when the kid clearly wants to go back with them too. (Like I said, he clearly wasn't suited for raising her...) Yeah, that kid is traumatised though. Imagine your Dad telling you stories about what you think are just Kings and Queens and Princesses and all that, and you're drawing them, and then it turns out they're actually about kidnappings and murders... Unfortunately, the couple backing out from adopting her makes sense. A lot of people are freaked out by the idea of adopting a kid who's parent was a murderer or something like that, especially if the kid seemed to be involved in some way. (Which she obviously wasn't, but the fact that she had painted all the murders and stuff kinda makes her involved in a twisted way...) It's fucked up because she didn't do anything, but unfortunately I believe it's quite common... :(
