Criminal Minds S5E19

That "Let's go home" at the end really hit me for some reason. Like, obviously we know that at the end of every case they have to just leave and go onto the next one (of course they do paperwork too, but ya know...) but there was just something about it that really hit me. Just the fact that they'd just found these bodies and that was when they left. Of course, their work there was done, they knew who killed them and they killed him and they knew that it was gonna be taken care of and all that. But it just really shows how fast they have to move on through these cases. They solve the case, then they go home and soon enough they have a new case. I feel awful for the Sheriff. She really seemed like a good person. She cared about what was happening, wanted to stop it, believed that other guy when he said he didn't do it even though he was well known to be a Cartel Leader or whatever. She deserved so much better. I do kinda like how this one turned out though... Like, of course I love when they're able to save people and it's a happy ending all around except for those who already died and all that (and the Unsub of course...) but it just feels so much more real to me when they're unable to save anyone who is in immediate danger. Like, when they show up just as the Unsub is about to kill the person they've kidnapped. Here, he of course wasn't kidnapping them, but they still occasionally end up saving people right before they die even when they're not kidnapped. Here though multiple people died when they knew who they were looking for. And while they saved all future victims, they didn't save anyone in immediate danger this episode. I know that kinda sounds awful, but it makes sense to me... Haha Poor Emily though! I love that just before we had Hotch tell Rossi not to shoot that gun in the car, then moments later Morgan does exactly that and poor Emily gets her eardrum blown out... I love moments like that, because the second Hotch mentions it, it almost becomes obvious that it's gonna come back, and it does! Haha
