2022-09-23 13:50:10 +0000 UTCEveryone almost always recommends switching the 19th and 20th episode because it “flows better” that way. BUT, that does NOT mean it was ran out of sequence. Fringe has a tradition for the 19th episode of every season to be “off the beaten path”, basically it’s a change in pace or weird. This season kept with the trend for the 19th episode. The episode was in season 4 because the show had been canceled, it was because of this episode they greenlit Season 5. So, for me, I always watch it in order. Episode 20 would have acted as the series finale, IF they hadn’t gotten the ok to do the last season.

2022-09-22 05:50:33 +0000 UTCI think with any regular show, if they'd pulled something this out there. It might have been too much. But as I love the show and these characters so so much. These things are just par for the course and I'm ready to just except what ever strange thing is cooked up. Oh and I like to describe the show, rather loosely, it's about an interuniversal cold war. But I can never do that upfront because of spoilers. You're right, it's indescribable without sounding... When I made a quip last week about Olivia not acting like an honorary member of the X-men at every opportunity. My intention wasn't to foreshadow this Wolverine like moment. I never even made that connection at the time. 🤣 In regards to Ep19. So basically as far as I'm aware it was aired and is placed where they intended. But it was suggested and I concurred that it would be better placed, like you rightly described, as a bridge between seasons. But you'll see why when you watch. At the time I think there was some kind of show renewal issue that played a part in this story structure as well. The show might have very well ended here. As it didn't, next is definitely the best place to watch that episode. I think you'll agree. Oh also incase you still aren't getting your notifications, check ya messages.
