I agree with your perspective on how Bones should of handled the situation. Again, the other characters advice was probably as much to protect Bones as it was to spare Sweets any pain. As misguided as that is honestly. We don't have the expression 'don't shoot the messenger' for nothing. People often don't react rationally when dealing with affairs of the heart. Unfortunately a lot of these sub plots are pretty flagrant attempts at revealing how Bones will handle cetain social situations and help us to reflect on what is considered the social norms on how we interact with one another. The unwritten rules, social cues and social situations are all aspects to be explored. Even when they don't necessarily really benefit the other characters in Bone's orbit. Only because I love to stoke the fire. 😉 As was said above, Angela's minor in computer science gives the show a pretty broad carte blanche to expand her skills in a lot of ways plot is requires. But the foundation has been set from season 1. We can't ignore her self righteous and often objectionable personality though. So continue scoffing at that, as it's amusing. 🤣

That’s why she talks the way she does or acts super rational (not much empathy, like in the 1st episode with the victims wife), it’s because she’s meant to be on the spectrum.

2023-01-27 07:01:19 +0000 UTCI watched a lot of Bones with one of my best friends who’s autistic, and she always said that she thinks Temperance is on the spectrum and now I can't help but see her that way. From the beginning, we see how her character is so different from everyone else in terms of the way she deals with her emotions, and in terms of the way she deals with other people. It really feels like something more than just her personality, It’s like it’s out of her control and she can’t help the way she is.

2023-01-27 05:17:00 +0000 UTCAngela actually does have a minor in computer science. Once she starts working at the Jeffersonian, that geeky side of her grew and she incorporated it into what she loves. So she technically is an expert in the computer side, just as much as the artistic side.
