I believe that there was only supposed to be one season of The Punisher but it was so well received that it got a second season. The Punisher was not even part of the original Marvel Netflix plan but after people went crazy over Jon Barenthal's performance in season 2 of Daredevil, Netflix decided to give the people what they wanted. If Netflix hadn't decided to cancel all the Marvel shows, we probably would have had another season. I like season 2 and look forward to the reactions.
