Dubbledoos and Wawas

If ya wanna follow me on other sites or help me survive by  sending money or buying merch, here's ways to access my other content! linktr.ee/darkmastern ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Blahblah1209 I’m curious if there’s any sort of light/goodness in the Underside, similar to how at the bottom of Pandora’s Box was hope ---------------------------------------------------------------------- The Underside is a dismal and terrible place. A nightmare dimension of twisted ancient entities, feeding on human creativity and imagination, and feeding on the young and defenseless. The Underside is created from hundreds of thousands of years of torture, longing, and loss that is incomprehensible, and most humans don't even realize that it's happening... But even in the most dismal and bleak places, sparks of hope can exist. Society may be cutthroat and violent, a display of survival of the fittest, but some of the fittest deem it necessary to protect those who can't protect themselves. Sometimes that which wishes to bind and limit you becomes understanding and helpful. Sometimes the greatest compassion can come from the deepest pits of despair. Some animate toys, like this little duck on wheels here, are not seeking the blood of humans, but instead feed on their creativity and emotion, gaining much more from genuine happiness and relief. All the same, this boy's imaginary friend, a cool hot dog with a hat and pants, helps to remind him that there is good in the world and that if they stick together, they can do anything... But even moreso, there are many violent and untrustworthy creatures of the Underside, but what of those who are kind and compassionate? On the Left we have a Dubbledoo. Also known as a Trippledoo, Multidoo, Marmaloo, or a Matryoshka Man. Dubbledoo are small, white, marshmallow like creatures shaped vaguely like a bird or a man with a long nose. They have fat bodies with no neck and a fat head directly atop their bodies like another dollop of marshmallow. They have long beaks or noses that extend from their face, and two dot eyes. They have long, pipe cleaner like legs and small round shoes, and little sprouts atop their heads. Dubbledoo are strange little silent creatures that can be found in the Candylands, but also can be found in the various forests and even colder regions of the Underside. Their origin is unknown, but few legends exist of where they originate from. Some believe they were creations of the Wizards of the lost Land of Cockaigne, while others believe they spawned from a powerful imaginary friend that has spread so far the idea has become a sort of tulpa, And some believe they exist solely as leftover bits of imagination and thought, essentially the excrement of ideas, plopping out a small marshmallowy creature. Dubbledoo are called such as they are almost always little fat marshmallowy creatures, however, they can split chunks from their own bodies to create smaller duplicates of themselves. This new duplicate comes with it's own varying personality, and can also make a duplicate. Once it is done, they are separate for good, and have become new creatures. This can be done at will, but is often done if the creature suffers damage, if it's startled, or if it's exceptionally happy. Once they split, they do shrink a bit, however they will grow back in time. The split Dubbledoo also slowly grow back to the size of the original, and they can split as well. Dubbledoo can have chunks of themselves pulled off of their bodies and it causes them no pain. These chunks can be consumed, and they tend to taste like a food you were craving and the food is very nutritious. Unless they don't want you to eat them, in which case they taste disgusting, and the food is incredibly bad for you. Just like with splitting, eating a portion of a Dubbledoo will make them shrink. On occasion, Bugaboo will capture Dubbledoo and eat them, however even if one tries to farm and eat them, they will often times run off, making them not a very good large scale food source. Most think immediately after watching Dubbledoo split like they do, why they don't simply all split infinitely and flood the Underside with themselves, something that could only take minutes. However it seems that after years of seeing them around that they just don't. Some think that they know that it would cause a lot of trouble if they did and so they collectively don't, or if there is a deeper reason for it. Dubbledoo are friendly to most creatures, and though they aren't able to speak or write, they can communicate through taps and little dance moves as well as by showing visible emotion on their faces which are usually blank. Often seen walking in lines of them that get consecutively smaller, or performing random tasks in the Underside, they are considered a pest or annoyance by Bugaboo, Grognards, and Tuffleupagus, however the children often times keep them as friends or pets, and some Beast Masters train them to fight as even if they aren't the strongest, they rarely ever truly die. When a Dubbledoo is killed, it will often reform nearby from a very small portion of itself. It is incredibly difficult to kill them however as even if they are smashed or lit on fire, they will usually return. In a fight, Dubbledoo usually just kick, though sometimes they will wield weapons with one of their feet, or it will simply hover next to them somehow. When they are put to a task, they can accomplish some large scale goals quicker than one might expect, though long term plans usually cause them to walk off. Building a house may be within their ability, but building a city is far less likely as they will often times get bored and slack off. Often times they will produce items seemingly at random, such as a propeller beanie hat, a Yoyo, Crayons, or some playing cards. They seem to all do this, but it's unknown where the items come from. Dubbledoo can run into one another at high speeds and merge back together into a bigger Dubbledoo. Some do this repeatedly and become a Megadoo or Ultradoo like some kids call them. And finally, on the Right and in the middle, we have some Wawas. Also known as Fufus, or Bunny people, the Wawa is a creature that appears to be a rabbit, however at closer glance it has human hands. These rabbits come in many shapes and sizes, mimicking those of real rabbits from Earth. They can come in any breed from Fuzzy Lop to Rex, and possess various traits of bunnies, with the real difference being that they often times sit in a squatting humanoid position and have humanoid hands. Wawas live in underground burrows like other Bunnies, however they tend to be furnished and appear like small, underground homes. Some of them are large enough for kids to fit in. There are many bunnies and small animals around the Underside, so they can often blend in, not to mention, their evil counterpart, the Ugwa or Goon, is always lurking. Wawas don't speak, but seem to have a psychic understanding of most things said to them. They are healers by nature, and will often times take in injured or lost children and give them food, collected dew, and a place to rest. They form small communities and teach their members to fight against larger enemies as well as to forage and grow various types of magic berries, but also in honing their magic abilities as all Wawa possess the ability to subtly manipulate nature through summoning plants and water. When Wawa are born, two Wawas create a seed together and plant it, which grows into a large dandelion. The Dandelion will turn white and fuzzy, and the fuzz that blows away will grow into a new Wawa. Sometimes the Fuzz doesn't grow, and is simply collected, as Wawa fuzz, sometimes known as Bunny Fur or Wuzz, can be used to create comfortable clothing, or used as an ingredient in casting spells, and in crafting magic items. The communities that Wawa make are often times hidden as many creatures of the Underside seek to hunt them and consume them, however they are always a safe haven for children. They hide these communities with collective magic rituals to misdirect others and cause them to get lost trying to find their home. Wawas are kind and gentle creatures that feed on the joy of those around them, and often times do things to make children happy, not only for their own enjoyment but to improve their own communities. Though Wawa will allow children and teens to come and live with them, or they will aid them however they can, Some teens and children are abusive or cruel toward the Wawas, which often concludes with them being removed from Wawa territory, though even then in many cases they may be given food and water before they are sent away. Only the worst of the worst are punished through being cursed and transformed into something like a rock or tree after being attacked by the Warriors of the clan. Wawa are usually sweet, Wawa can be evil however, and those that choose to be evil or do bad deeds will begin to grow ugly. Their eyes will seal shut and their teeth become menacing as they also begin to get human like feet. These Wawa are called Ugwas and are excommunicated from the group. The Evil counterpart of a Wawa is an Ugwa. They are also known as Goons just as Wawas are known as Fufu. This originates from the old nursery Rhyme. Little Bunny Foo Foo, Hopping through the forest, Scooping up the field mice, And bashing in their heads. Down came the Good Fairy, and she said, "Little Bunny Foo Foo, I don't want to see you, Scooping up the field mice And bashing in their heads!." "I'll give you three chances, And if you don't behave, I'm gonna turn you into a Goon!" This potentially implies that a powerful fairy at some point potentially made it so that any Wawa that causes too much trouble or goes down the wrong path, is cursed to become a Goon... Here we see Victoria and a friend in a large Blacklit play place in the Underside. It seems like some black light location has been taken over by a clan of Wawas. Along with their magic, this place is well hidden, and a good place for some kids to hang out and forget about what ails them, even if just for a little while... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- The final pic! Something cute~ Wawas are a mysterious creature... I actually have a Wawa myself at home, as the one on the bottom right is based off of my pet Bunny IRL. There was another pic posted only on Pixiv because it was a VERY chonky Victoria and DA doesn't like those :3 There's one more thing for Halloween and it will go directly into the November stuff as it's released, so expect a constant stream of stuff for a bit.
