Dev blog 04 | Drawing with Nat | Cleaning and Improving

Been busy working on the game this week now that commission work has wrapped up for now. Heres what I've done!

Snow World:

Snow World is now in a much more completed state. Decorations are now all over the world and multiple ice lakes have also been added. https://imgur.com/V4SXohx

I also added a second sub area of Snow World. The Frozen Playground. This sub area is much smaller and has a warp to the Lamp Paths. https://imgur.com/a/DqbP6Lo

I have a few more things I would like to add to this world, including an NPC, event and the drawing triggers too, other than that though it's developed nicely!

Lamp Paths:

The Lamp Paths has been reworked and had its layout changed. The world is now broken up into multiple smaller areas instead of one giant area. Changing this helps with performance and also makes you feel like your making progress whenever you warp between rooms. Heres the before and after of the world size. https://imgur.com/a/qrbwYwA

The Lamp Paths now Connects to: Glow World, Plaza, Queen Square and Snow World. All of the different warps between worlds now use different coloured Lamps instead of Glow World being a telephone pole.

The object you interact with to obtain the Lamp Form has been changed from a smaller lamp to now a floating lamp head that moves around. https://imgur.com/9JKmQnr

Plaza:

The Plaza has been slightly altered. To make the world a bit more interesting visually I added multiple different patterns to the diamonds on the ground. https://imgur.com/pl6vWTV These now litter the world and adds a bit of needed variety to this area.

I also expanded the world a little bit too because it was originally tiny.

Queen's Square:

Not much changed here, I simply moved the enterance to the area to the South instead of to the East. I also fixed some slightly misplaced tiles that were on the tilesheet.

Hermit Pyramids (Dark Room):

The Dark room between Hermit Pyramids and the Red Room area is now a straight line instead of being a confusing dark area with nothing in it, its now simply a bridge between the two areas.

Event Clearing:

I did some more event clearing to two worlds, Hermit Pyramids and Yellow Moon. These areas should now run a little bit better if you have a lower end device.

That should be everything for now! I will continue to work on some more of the borring stuff like event clearing for other worlds that need it, and hopefully will have some more new content to showcase too! Thank you all for your support!
