the game won't even launch on my system after downloading the win version

The game starts alright with the cabin brightly lit, problem happens the moment I step out as the world is just a void basically with the only discernable parts being where the void meets the skybox. Tried to use the render distance system to create an outline of the environment to navigate but it all ended at the chicken
2023-05-10 10:40:46 +0000 UTCtrying to run the linux build of this game gives me a fatal error about failing to create the ICU number format. it seems it can't see the ICUdtl.dat file even if it's in the same directory. any thoughts?
