Carbuncle and Almiraj
Added 2022-05-07 18:00:03 +0000 UTCThe almiraj is a lovably abominable melding of bunny and unicorn. At DM discretion, they make a wonderful little familiar option that can occasionally come in clutch with their magic dispelling and petrifying abilities.
The carbuncle is in the same vein except uglier, though equally adorable. It's basically a magic armadillo with what appears to be a valuable gem embedded in its forehead. Though legends abound about its value and the means of extracting it without damaging it, those myths are unfounded and chasing them is a good way to get leprosy. The carbuncle is also noted for their utter indifference to death, and their ability to die at will (or pretend to). Look, D&D is weird.... I don't know what to tell you
