This was shot for season 1, but was aired later as a special episode. Making the suggestion in a press release that it could be a story from an alternative reality, if not just from series 1. This came after may requests to see the 'lost episode'. Without that subjective hypothesis, and after the events of recent episodes and building plot point. Plus with events from future episodes. That placement obviously caused a significant continuity issue, as well as more cosmetic things as the production moves on into series 2. This was my original sub show, if I remember correctly. I remember your confusion well. It was hard for me to work out exactly where this was placed continuity wise. Arguably it could be placed slightly earlier, a few eps back. But at the very least, this seemed like a better placement than some streaming services have apparently placed it; right at the end of the series. But I took the position, that.... 1. Given the suggestion that this 'could be' a story from another reality; when they aired it in season 2. Coupled with the events of the last episode. 2. The viewing experience is probably better going from the finale straight to the season 2 premier. Rather than have this break up that flow.
