2024-04-15 05:34:19 +0000 UTCyeh i mean it was a common thing for white women to lie about being raped by black men/boys to obfuscate the fact they were out late, or were actually dating a black man and when found out, lied saying it was non consensual. Also it was common for racists & the KKK to not only lynch black people but strip & castrate them as well (a lot of virulent racism stems from an insecurity about black men "stealing their women", so there was a sexual humiliation component to some of the violence). Emmett Till (at 14yrs old) was tortured and killed for supposedly whistling at a white woman... like these people were sick, and unfortunately they & their sentiments still exist
