Capheus was recast due to "creative differences." That's all we know. Popular speculation is the original actor wasn't up for doing sex scenes, maybe. I like the new actor too, you'll get used to him. I think he gives Capheus some of that same wide-eyed wonder in his own way. How a cluster is "born" is never really explained fully. They get in to it a little more in season 2, but mostly I see it as one of those sci-fi things that you're just supposed to go along and not think about it too much.

2024-06-29 05:58:47 +0000 UTCYeah, most places list it as the first episode of season 2 now, but technically this was a standalone new years special that was released in between seasons, that's why it's so much longer than all the normal episodes.
