And also, I think House has SOME self awareness. Like he knows he's an asshole and he doesnt make apologies or justifications for it. But Foreman is always on his high horse, thinking he is so much better and it comes across as more arrogant

House's impish charm, cutting jabs and righteous flouting of authority to help the patient help people forgive the unappealing aspects of his personality. It's kinda sorta like the difference between someone attractive being sexually forward vs someone less aesthetically pleasing. Broadly, the latter person has a more significant chance of being labelled creepy. Endorphin enriched biases, I call it.
