I love that this is essentially an episode about how much the Machine cares about the team at this point. It turns othwerise somewhat overly done (but fun) premises like the "timeloop episode" and the tragic slowmo into something fresh. The slow motion in this episode is stunning every time it's used and part of that is the purpose it has in presenting the machine's perspective, it makes that ending hit all that much harder. Seeing that the machine can't rewind time and has finally run out of options is such a clever way of portraying that sacrifice. The "primary goal" is always save assets. I could talk about this episode for hours though; even after watching 20-30 "classic shows" in full for the first time since the run of POI ended 7 years ago this is still my all time favourite episode of any show. It has everything you want, it's tragic, poignant, thematically resonant, thrilling and most importantly, it's just insanely fun.
