Brooklyn Nine Nine S5E9

I love this episode! It is the 99th episode, usually shows make a big thing of the 100th episodes but B99 of course had to do that with the 99th. So next episode is obviously the 100th. Rosa being Bisexual came from Stephanie coming out as Bisexual. I can't remember if it was that she came out and they went to her with the idea of having Rosa be bi and wanted to make sure she was comfortable with it, or if it was her idea. But either way, it did come from her coming out which is pretty cool. And yeah, I love where they took Rosa and Charles' friendship. It was such a relief that they stopped the whole story of Charles having a thing for Rosa so quickly and instead made them best friends. It's just so great having Charles be so helpful and supportive about all of Rosa's relationships. Like back in S2 he was constantly helping her with Marcus (Holt's nephew) and then she made him a Maid of Honor when she was engaged to Pimento. And then this episode he at first wanted to help her find someone to hook up with to get over Pimento, then when he learned she was already seeing someone he was excited (if a little intrusive...) and it's just great. And my FAVOURITE thing is that there was the moment on the RV where he tries guessing the name of the person Rosa's seeing, assuming it's a man, and then later after he knows she's seeing a woman he just starts guessing women's names. Idk, I just love that it was the exact same thing for him. It didn't change anything. Man or woman, he wants to know this persons name! And I also LOVE how important it was to Jake to get Holt back in time for the Interview. He cares so much about him and I love that. It's not just this one sided thing of Holt helping Jake and helping him become more mature and a better person and all that, Jake helps Holt a lot too. He helps him loosen up a bit, but he also really cares about his career and dreams and life and all that. And he makes an effort to get him to open up and all that. There was a scene about it back in S4, when Holt's Mum was around. Jake told him to just talk to her and Holt said that's not the relationship they have, and Jake them pointed out that he was able to talk to him and be honest and all that, and Holt's response was that it was only because Jake pushed him to (or something like that.) And I really appreciate that about their relationship. It's very two sided. Holt may be a good Father Figure to Jake, but Jake is also a very good son to him. Amy was amazing and I love her. Not much else to say there. I just adore her. I do feel for her though. It must suck, looking back and realising that while everyone else was having fun you were stressing out and just not. But of course that's what ended up saving the day in the end!! I love her. And I love how impressed everyone was by her. She deserved that applause! God, Jake in Nakatomi Plasa just reminds me of me any time I'm talking about one of my special interests... The fast, excited talking about it while no one else actually cares. So relatable... 🤣😭 And Terry gave up his First Class Mint for Holt! Biggest sacrifice!! Poor Terry!
