I did enjoy that. But then we are here for the performances rather than that individual's narcissistic desire for infamy; that David brought to life with such impressive skill. I love watching David, never more than as The Doctor. I do also adore the comedy show, Staged, which I rewatched the other month. Where he plays a satirised version of himself, against Michael Sheen, doing much the same thing. I distinctly remember Clint having exactly the same reaction to Laurie Kynaston's performance, when we watched this last year on his channel. I remember commenting to him that it's great to have reactions to these performances highlighted. British drama is littered with great character actors proving such brilliant supporting roles, just as great as the headliners. That I've come to just expect it. This was a standout performance though.
