The moment I saw that guy. I thought will you place him. He played the father of a girl with abilities in Fringe, like Suzanne said too. The Husband of House's ex partner, Stacey. Also is played the billionaire in The Mentalist, which you remembered. Like you found, he pops up in the lot of shows. I've seen him in a number of other things as well. Also that's a slight misrepresentation of the Macbeth superstition. It's uttering the name while in a theatre. But as Martha is a pretty dramatic personality, maybe she considers any place she resides, a stage. 😉
