Like the male prostitute told Russ, the older men were the ones doing the abuse on the kids but the younger 3 with no masks were just "tagging along." They ended up becoming there own little murder cult going back after the same kids who had been abused, only this time killing them. Like in the Criminal Minds episode Middle Man, with the 3 guys kidnapping the strippers. Duwald was the Follower, Reggie the Lieutenant, and "Scars" the Alpha.
