Thanks for the suggestion! It's a little muddy since I've changed how I do things a few times, but currently my policy is to add a variant name any time I have multiple variants of a given monster. The worm-shadow is more of a companion-monster than a variant, so I don't really count it.
Everything is going to get multiple variants eventually, so in the long run the catalogue will converge on your idea, but in the meantime putting a variant name on a lone variant feels slightly off to me for some reason.

Just saying, I would rename all of existing "better version" creations to better reflect the flavor of your work.

Nice update! I have a suggestion, when redesigning a monster, can't you always personalize it with a unique name such as "Golothoma Tunnel Hunter?" You have done it with some creatures like your Maw Demons (Maw Demon Gorgers as an example), but not with others such as the Golothoma. I really like the variations in stats, but when you have variations in names/roles they personalize your work a bit better and differentiate it better from other versions of the same creature.
