Master List 1.33
Added 2024-10-01 18:00:08 +0000 UTCHail the great pumpkin, spooky season is upon us! I managed to consolidate the master pdf into a single document once again; you shouldn't use it if you have another option, but it's there for posterity and for people without reliable internet. Also finally got updated to foundry v12, so that should help fend off any incipient compatibility issues that were stalking my footsteps.
I'm also trying to get a Better Monster Manual together for a cheeky February release, which'll be fun but a bit of a race to put together in time. Also, the patreon is approaching a size where I can start thinking about having a regular art budget, which is really exciting.
Collaborations:
The Red Quills Mapmaking did some kickass lair battlemaps to go with some of my favorite stat blocks these past few weeks, and have a few more that they're doing this coming month; you can find those for free on their patreon.
Making Better D&D Tavern Fights (Ruffians)
How to Make a D&D Tunnel Challenge (Ratfolk)
Drawing D&D Dungeons for Combat (Black Earth Cultists)
Stuff You Should Check Out:
RETRO/KILL: I ran a a two-session game of RETRO/KILL this month and it was some of the most fun I've had running games; less than an hour of prep total to both learn the rules and write an adventure, and the structure of the game carried everything naturally from there into utter madness. If a fast-paced, low-prep game about time-traveling assassins sounds like something you'd like, you can grab a preview or sign up as a playtester here.
Tales From Elsewhere: TTRPG game dev seems like it'd a pretty narrow niche, but I know a good few of you are working on your own games, and as GMs we're all involved in the craft of game design to one extent or another; this game developer's youtube channel has some helpful insights into less-well-explored topics like effective playtesting and rules communication.
Upcoming in October:
I'm continuing to chip away at devils, but we've also got a big expansion to blights and pegasuses (pegasi? plurals of proper names are weird).

Comments
You want the file labeled conflux-creatures v10 foundry module 1.33.zip; unzip it and make sure it doesn't have any extra nested layers added, then you should be able to use this guide to host it on Forge: https://forums.forge-vtt.com/t/importing-worlds-modules-systems-w-video-tutorial/454

2024-10-20 20:06:41 +0000 UTCNah, there's a weird history with the foundry module; it started as a patron's project and had images, but I took the images out when I took it over because that was further than I wanted to push WotC's legal team. The monsters with broken images are the ones that haven't yet been updated since then. In the discord Digital Tools channel, there's a pack of tokens pinned that another patron put together for everything.

2024-10-05 21:11:44 +0000 UTCI am trying to use the v11 foundry module, and it seems to load fine except there is nothing in the image folders. Am i doing something wrong?
