Another magnificent episode. Will's, "I will always be standing next to you and in front." made me cry. The image of a young Will standing in front of his family, bottle in hand, was a powerfully evoked form of imagery, established during the talk with the therapist. We all fail and the shame and recognition of that, on Will's part, only builds his character more. He's both honorable and manipulative, protective and snide. He himself, like us all, is not one thing. We have a man ready to to face the bullies, become one, and in ways he is yet to recognise. He ill-fately choose to frame the ring misrepresentation, as a prank. Pranks do eventually involve the pranked. Particularly so it doesn't come off a manipulative point scoring. He went out of his way, or sent someone out of their way, to f with her. Snide bullying of someone who hurt him. Yeah, he should go back to the therapist, who ironically, was f-ing with him during the session. Can we count the plot point and topics of synergy and parallelisation during this episode. Crafted within an inch of it's life. Sublime.
