Roadmap - 2023 - Part 2
Added 2023-07-19 13:20:35 +0000 UTCI'm proud to present the Roadmap for the second half of 2023!
- August - second part of the Easterners collection, with more huge monsters and deadly characters
- September - final part of the desert theme, ending with savage camel-riding tribes and half-trolls
- October - new models for the Welcome Trove heroes (including mounted models), fitting the current chapters + a resculpting of the original 18 models up to the current quality standard
- November - culmination of the preparations that were taking place for the last couple of months, with huge evil ahead
- December - long awaited chapter full of halfling militia (and their pesky adversaries) and terrain. Maybe a halfling customizer soon after in January?
After that chapter series is concluded, I'd like us to explore themes more freely.
So for example, a set of charriot riding mongol/asian tribes, some northern clans with woolly mammoths, perhaps extra customizer sets like one for the Allies of Gonthan and the Easterners, new sets of dwarves and elves + remastering of the old ones, abandoned ancient kingdoms...

The Helm Hammer hand era is a good one. Lots of battles with easterlings and the Rohir, think there is an anime coming out soon for Inspiration!
2023-10-02 03:50:11 +0000 UTCFirst Age would be great, not only Elves but also the Houses of the Edayin and the first Easterlings. The tale of Turyn has a lot of characters and folk very approbriate to a skirmish game. Also cool would be earlier times of the 3rd age. The civil wars between Arthedayn, Cardolann and Rhudor, the wars between them and the Wytchrealm of Ankmar, but also the Northmen of Rhovannon - predecessors of the Horse People and their enemies from the East. Also the Inland sea of Rhoon surrounded by woods and hills/ mountains that could be the home of so far unknown Avari (maybe with a Sindaryn/ Noldho nobility) and Dwarves. And finally Dorwynion, the Land of the wine where Men from the North and East merged into a people and culture that spotrted elements of both of them.
2023-08-09 14:35:09 +0000 UTC*Just a note - I think for both the Corsairs and Numenor, a great tower might be the best terrain option. Something that could be either a lighthouse, or the house of a great lord.

2023-07-29 03:38:13 +0000 UTCBut after that, I'm really looking forward to what comes next year - I'd love to see sets based around the theme of the Corsairs of Umbar, or -and I think it's even more exciting to my tastes and interests- a set with a more ancient Roman theme for the Numenoreans. (Something in between the Numenoreans at the intro of the first Peter Jackson film, and the Numenoreans of the new Amazon series would be pretty great, IMO. But, that's just me lol.)

2023-07-23 17:34:30 +0000 UTCCrazy that the end (of this tale at least) is in sight, it's been an epic journey over the last couple of years. I definitely like the idea of bringing the original customisers up to the incredible level of the more recent ones. If you do revisit the Dwarves and Elves, I'd love to see some inspired by the Rings of Power designs, and maybe a few of the characters from the show alongside them!
