Spy Academy - 4. First Impressions

As they made their final approach to Kidemonas, Jason found himself looking out the plane window. He couldn’t help but feel excited. This island, this school, they were his future. The place where he’d start on his path to becoming his best self.

The “small” private island turned out to be far larger than he thought - and only grew larger as the private jet drew closer. The size shouldn’t have surprised him, though. Kidemonas was supposed to be home to not only a private school but the headquarters of whatever sort of group Ms. Dekker represented - and large enough to contain its own private airport.

Jason spotted the runway, the pavement stretching on, flanked by hangers, a control tower, and surrounded by a thick, green forest. They were so low now that Jason couldn’t even see the Trevelyan campus through the foliage anymore. The island had to be miles across.

As the jet finally touched down, it finally sank in for the young recruit.

This was the real deal.

Donna must have sensed how wired he was because she reached over and set her hand on his knee. Her touch was calming and her smile was sweet. It was astonishing, the power of a pretty face.

“Ready?” She asked.

Jason put on a cocksure grin.

“Always.” He answered.

Stepping out of the private jet, Jason was greeted with the warm, Mediterranean breeze. The wind blew softly through his hair and the crisp scent of the forest, sand, and the sea tingled in his nostrils. The teenager took in a deep breath, enjoying the fresh air.

Slowly, he took in his surroundings. The afternoon sun still hung high. Wispy white clouds stretched over that gorgeous blue sky. But what truly caught Jason’s attention was straight ahead of him.

Waiting on the tarmac was a woman. Blonde, tanned, and dressed in white, a stylish yet professional pantsuit that was far more flattering than stuffy, this woman was absolutely gorgeous. Her figure, so full and proud and womanly even through the layers of her outfit, was just the icing on the creamy, blonde cake.

“Who’s she?” Jason murmured aloud, coming down the airstairs.

“Headmistress Katherine Starling.” Donna answered, following close behind. Jason could hear the amusement in her voice. The redhead knew exactly what was on his mind. “She’s the director of our organization. Looks like she’s come to greet you personally.”

“Oh.”

Jason took his first step onto solid ground. His first step onto his new path. The headmistress stood twenty feet away, wearing dark, white-rimmed shades and a friendly smile. She gave him a little wave and Jason’s heart raced just a little faster.

Donna touched his arm, calming him some.

“Recruiters like me regularly send back reports on potential recruits like you. Director Starling already knows who you are, Jason. And it seems she’s as impressed with you as I am.”

Jason nodded and went ahead, doing his level best to compose himself. The make-out sessions with Donna and Hanna back on the plane had done a number on his teenage nerves. Hell, he could still feel the warmth of their bodies pressed against him. He could still taste their lipgloss.

Thankfully, by some miracle, he’d managed to get his hard-on under control before they’d landed. Now, as he approached the stunning blonde, all he had to worry about was not coming off as a lovestruck dork.

The headmistress - Director Starling - was even more pleasing to the eye up close. Her hair was short, golden silk coming down just past her chin to frame an angel’s face. She tipped her shades down, revealing eyes of crystal blue. Her gaze was stunning yet also warm, granting a tiny peek at the sharp mind behind it all.

Her cheeks were high and elegant, dappled with the faintest freckles. Her pert nose was slightly upturned and set above full lips that were painted strawberry red. Those lips drew Jason’s eyes as they spread into a smile, looking so delicate, so smooth, so impossibly soft.

An angel’s face indeed. Her beauty was heavenly. But her body? Her body was utterly sinful.

She was a tall woman, almost as tall as Jason, and her curves were plentiful. The fabric of her dress pants were pulled snug over her thighs and the alluring width of her hips. Most notable - and pleasing - was how beneath her blazer, Jason saw how her blouse was stretched over her prominent bosom. And by God was her chest ample, easily competing with Donna’s own splendid set of breasts. The blouse itself wasn’t too revealing - the neckline only offered up a small tease at her cleavage. It was the sheer prominence of her rack that simply couldn’t be hidden. The woman was stacked.

She was striking. She was softness. And she was smiling at him.

For a moment, Jason felt like the only man in the world. A young knight standing before his queen.

“I don’t know how you do it, Donna.” Spoke Director Starling. The blonde removed her shades, tucking them into her pocket, and drew her eyes up and down Jason. Appraising him. “Your recruits always look so… promising.

She met his eyes then and Jason saw a glimmer of something more than mere professional interest. Jason played it cool, but his blood was starting to run hot all over again. Donna’s soft chuckle drew his attention as the redhead came up beside him.

“He’s more than just a pretty face, Kate.” Donna said, patting Jason on the shoulder. As if he was some prized race horse.

Jason decided he didn’t really mind.

“Obviously. We recruited him, didn’t we?” Director Starling shifted on her feet, turning her full attention towards the teenager. A simple movement it was, but Jason found his gaze drawn to it, captivated in the way young men often were. He caught himself just as Starling spoke again. “So, Mr. Silva, are you ready to be the best you can be?”

“Born ready, Headmistress Starling.” Jason spoke with that brash, youthful confidence that got him to the island in the first place. His chest swelled with pride, with vigor. He didn’t want to just meet the standards of these gorgeous ladies. He wanted to exceed them. Five minutes after touching down and he was itching to impress.

Starling didn’t say anything immediately. She studied him for a moment, sharp eyes reading him - all the while, he felt like an open book. Her smile grew.

“I think you’re going to like it here.” Starling told him. She gestured around herself, to the hangers, the green forest, and to the luxury shuttle waiting just behind her. “No expense spared for the development of young minds. And the scenery is nice, too.”

Her tone was teasing, of course. She, Donna, Hanna, all the women he’d met so far, it felt like they had him figured out. His wants, his desires, what drove him, they had it all down pat. So he didn’t bother hiding his interest any longer. He admired openly now, giving the Director a once-over. Then Donna as well.

Angel faces upon sinful bodies.

“Looks like my kind of place, Headmistress.”

The blonde quirked an eyebrow. She was not offended. Rather, she was intrigued. And Jason swore he saw a flicker of respect in the woman’s crystal blue eyes.

Starling shared a look with Donna. They both nodded. Suddenly, Jason felt his nerves start up again. Had they been testing him? All this time?

Then Starling stepped back and tilted her head towards the luxury shuttle. A black van, shiny and waxed, with gleaming silver rims. Across the side, a decal in ivory white: Trevelyan Academy.

“Time for the tour.” Starling said. “And then we’ll get you settled in.”

-  -  -

A short shuttle ride took them through the forest, following a paved road until they reached the other side of the island. There, Jason got his first look up close at the Trevelyan campus. And it was big.

The teenager gave a low whistle as they stepped out of the van.

“This isn’t a school, it’s a whole college campus.” He said aloud. He shook his head, tilting his head up at the structure above.

Directly before them was the welcome center, a large rectangular building of white concrete slab pillars framing a glass facade. Three stories tall, it was sleek, professional, and wreathed in decorative green - orderly planted trees, trimmed hedges, dangling vines all added to the new-age, eco-friendly aesthetic. There was even a fountain at the top, sending clear water flowing through a trough between the steps.

And beyond Jason could see hints of the other buildings, their structures peeking over the crests of the hills that flanked the welcome center.  Dormitories, lecture halls, all the markings of a bonafide institution of learning.

Everything of the campus grounds that Jason could see was neat and tidy, from the manicured grass to the clean benches to the spotless, paved walkways. And bustling amidst it all were Jason’s fellow students. He watched them pass by, young men and women dressed in fine, preppy school uniforms - red blazers with a shield crest set over the left breast. Dark dress pants for the boys, pleated skirts for the girls. Jason didn’t mind that arrangement. Not one bit.

It helped that the girls were pretty. It was uncanny how each passing female student managed to catch Jason’s eye in some way. Tall and sporty girl here, short and petite cutie over there. Jason’s eyes wandered and wandered. Girl with full thighs, girl stretching out her blouse, girl in a loose ponytail, girl giggling at a joke from her cute friend.

A nudge at his back drew Jason’s attention. Donna was there at his side, giving him a pointed if amused look.

“Pick your tongue up off the ground and maybe we can start the tour?” The redhead chided him quietly.

Jason’s face twitched into something halfway between a wince and smile. He glanced towards the headmistress - Director Starling - and saw the blonde standing at the foot of the welcome center stairs. She too looked amused… but also expectant.

They were waiting on him.

“Yeah. Sure thing.” He cleared his throat. “Lead the way.”

The two women ushered him up the concrete steps, bringing him to the large, glass double doors. On reflex, he went ahead of Donna and Starling and opened the doors for them. It was a force of habit, a lesson on gentlemanly manners taught to him by his father years back.

Donna and Starling shared a look, both smirking.

“Such a gentleman.” Donna chortled softly.

“There’s hope for the new generation yet.” Starling agreed.

Jason felt warmth creep across his cheeks.

From there, the tour of the Trevelyan campus went by like a breeze.

“We’re just going to show you the school for now.” Starling had explained to him on the shuttle ride over. “Tonight you’ll get settled in, familiarize yourself with the school grounds, and meet some other fresh recruits. Tomorrow is when the real work begins.”

“I’m looking forward to it.” Jason had boasted - though from the look she gave him, it was clear Starling mostly found his bluster amusing. “And looking forward to meeting the other guys you recruited. And the girls, too.”

Donna shook her head at that.

“We only recruit young men.”

“Oh. So this is some sort of fraternity?”

“Not really.” Starling cut in. She gave Jason a look, once more appraising him. The corner of her mouth quirked upwards. “Young men are easier to train for the work we do. And easier to motivate.”

Those words still echoed in Jason’s head as the two women led him across campus. They showed him the athletics department and all the high-end machines and equipment held within their absurdly large gym. They showed off the many dining halls, promising meals that would rival those provided by the finest restaurants. They showed him the libraries and the expansive collection of books, both old and new, as well as the other recreational opportunities afforded to their students. Pools, beaches, a night club, even a movie theater, all for students only.

Private jet, private school, private island… a whole lot of money went into this place. A shit-ton.

This was a whole new world for Jason Silva. This was the high life, no two ways about it. But Jason knew this taste of luxury wasn’t the motivation that Donna and Starling had talked about.

He remembered how Donna’s lips felt upon his. He remembered the way her robe had clung to her damp body back at the hotel. He remembered the promise in her eyes when she first offered him this path.

By the time the tour was winding down it was late afternoon. The sun was setting, the horizon cast in brilliant orange. And Jason was beaming.

The party of three came to a stop before the boys dormitory - one of them, at least.

“I trust you’re sufficiently impressed, Mr. Silva?” Starling appeared proud, like she knew exactly what his answer would be.

“I think this is the best decision I’ve made in my whole life.” Jason said honestly.

Starling looked wholly pleased. And Donna looked proud.

“You measure up to our expectations, Jason, and we’ll more than measure up to yours.” Starling said sincerely. “I promise you that.”

The blonde’s brilliant blue eyes may as well have been shining. Jason believed her.

“Now…” Donna took Jason by the arm. “Let’s meet the other recruits.”
